Waikato has more scholarships per student than any other university in New Zealand. There are scholarships and grants for many student groups, including secondary school leavers, Maori students and adult students, and in many subject areas.

Graduate

School of Science Masters Research Scholarships

The Faculty of Science & Engineering will offer 10 School of Science Masters Research Scholarships in specific, predetermined areas of research. Each Scholarship is worth $5,000. Applicants should be eligible to enrol for the first time in a Master of Science in B Semester 2013 and must have an excellent academic record. Research topics include volcanology, coastal systems, geothermal systems, aquatic ecology, plant ecology, plant ecophysiology, chemistry, extremophile microbiology and Antarctic microbiology. A full list of research topics, supervisors and a description of each project is contained in the application form.
