Waikato DNA Sequencing Facility (WDSF)

The Waikato DNA Sequencing Facility (WDSF) is part of the University of Waikato's Department of Biological Sciences and is situated in Hamilton, New Zealand. The services we can offer include:

DNA sequencing services

Based on the Applied Biosystems 3130xl Genetic Analyzer, providing sequencing and genotyping for researchers from single-stranded, double-stranded, PCR-derived and environmental DNA templates.

GS Junior services

Take on Amplicon or Genomic projects with GS Junior.

High throughput sequencing

Contact us for pricing for large numbers of similar templates or reactions such as clone libraries or environmental collections with large sample numbers.

Internal & collaborative projects

University of Waikato students and staff, and collaborative projects undertaken with the University of Waikato may be eligible for a special rate.

Fast turnaround time

We endeavour to return your sequencing results the next business day following receipt. However, the turnaround time can be as high as 3 working days depending on service demand.

If you have samples of an urgent nature please let us know so we can do our best to accommodate your requests within your demanding time schedule.

Confidentiality

The Waikato DNA Sequencing Facility (also referred to as the WDSF) shall not, other than with the prior written consent of the Client, either during or after the termination of the contract, disclose any submitted information, non-diagnostic process data, result data, or client information, directly or indirectly to any person, firm, company or third party.
