Waikato Experience Biology Days (WEB Days)

University of Waikato, Hamilton

9th Jun 2015 - 10th Jun 2015

Exciting new workshops and lectures, mixed with some of the tried and trusted favourites was the plan for 2014's Waikato Experience Biology (WEB) Days.

Join fellow Year 12 and 13 secondary school students from throughout the central North Island for our annual two-day biology event, which attracts around 650 attendees.

Students will enjoy a seminar on human evolution, based on the School of Science’s collection of hominid skulls, an interactive lab session, and a series of lectures on key biology topics.

The changes come from new event organiser Dr Linda Peters. Dr Peters hopes to reinvigorate the event with fresh topics, while still keeping the content relevant to the secondary school curriculum.

Registrations for the 2015 event should open around April 2015.

For more information contact Dr Linda Peters.
