Research Interests
Sedimentary geology, especially the petrography, diagenesis, and geochemistry (stable isotopes and trace elements) of cool-water carbonate deposits in New Zealand Cenozoic Basins (Taranaki, King Country, East Coast).
Expertise
Carbonate sedimentology, particularly New Zealand Cenozoic cool-water carbonates, their diagenesis, geochemistry and ability to act as hydrocarbon reservoirs; petrogenic implications for hydrocarbon production in the carbonate fracture reservoir - the Mid-Tertiary Tikorangi formation, Taranaki Basin, New Zealand.
