Dr. Ginghis B. Maranan received his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2016. He joined the University of Waikato in 2017 as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering. His research interests include structural analysis, structural testing and investigation, analytical modelling and simulation, reinforced concrete and FRP-reinforced concrete systems, earthquake engineering, and fibre composite materials for civil engineering applications. He has successfully implemented several industry-focused projects that resulted in 24 technical papers published in high-ranking international journals and refereed conference proceedings.
