The Department of Biological Sciences is a large department that prides itself on providing a top quality teaching/research regime, coupled with an exciting and informative learning environment. Our biological sciences staff have national and international reputations in their field and are passionate about what they do.
We aim to provide our biological sciences students with courses, programmes and degrees that make available interesting and relevant information covering the full breadth of the natural world.
Research and postgraduate study in biological sciences is encouraged, and all research students acquire basic research skills and a knowledge of techniques, as well as training in specialist disciplines.
